Pigmentation

Pigmentation

Hyperpigmentation is a very common condition that many people suffer from, at all ages. This discoloration of the face gives patients an uneven skin tone, leaving many patients frustrated and self-conscious about their appearance. The most common cause is sun exposure, but other common contributors are hormonal changes, such as pregnancy, acne, allergies, and other trauma to the skin. People with darker skin tones are more prone to hyperpigmentation.  Hyperpigmentation can be difficult to treat with at-home or over the counter remedies, especially for patients with stubborn and extensive situations. However, the appearance of hyperpigmentation can often be greatly reduced by treatments available at our clinic.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are non-surgical skin care treatments designed to enhance skin texture and promote clear-looking skin. These face peels can remove dead or damaged skin cells from the surface of your skin to encourage the growth of new, healthy skin cells. Chemical peels can improve the appearance of fine lines, acne scarring, sun damage, and blemishes, while also stimulating the production of subsurface collagen fibers to enhance skin elasticity and firmness. Different facial peels are available to achieve a wide range of results. Patients can opt for lighter peels to achieve modest improvements in skin texture, while deeper chemical peels can achieve substantial results.

Sonophoresis

Sonophoresis uses ultrasound vibration to disrupt the barrier helping in transdermal delivery of topical skin treatments. Sonophoresis allows increased penetration of topical vitamins, creams and serums.

Sonophoresis allows for rapid and intense absorption of important topical ingredients (including vitamins A. C, skin lighteners and serums) to improve the appearance of skin, making it appear smoother, younger and healthier.

Laser

laser releases short bursts of light that is readily absorbed by the high concentration of melanin found within freckles, sun spots or age spots. The quick absorption of light heats the melanin and destroys the melanin-rich cells without affecting the surrounding skin.

BodyContours uses  one of the most advanced laser machines on the market , Nd:YAG. This  Laser is  effective for removal of most pigmented lesions.

Body Contours  offers a number of treatments, from laser therapy, chemical peels, and Serum infusion  that can help combat pigmentation .
